JOANNA HEJMEJ

Joanna is a Manchester based designer-maker, and is an associate artist at the British Ceramics Biennial. Joanna draws inspiration from natural shapes, patterns and the details of everyday surroundings. Working mainly with slip casting, she enjoys the calm, repetitive rhythm of the process. Her pieces often combine simple forms with gentle pattern, creating work that feels warm and quietly expressive. With a focus on balance and clean design, she aims to make ceramics that bring a sense of the home and peace to the spaces they will live in.
